Join DTC for a week devoted exclusively to fitness and fun. The Pacific Northwest and the University of Oregon campus provide the perfect setting for expanding your personal fitness and event training to the next level. You will work with an entire team of specialists devoted to your success. Whether you want to improve your fitness, create balance in your life, gain confidence in your diabetes and weight management strategies, or simply enjoy a week with friends tackling similar challenges the University of Oregon is the place to be this summer! Our staff of fitness professionals and coaches will work with you to develop your strength, core, and balance and endurance. Whether you are a seasoned athlete, or new to exercise, this camp is for you! Our medical and nutrition staff will see to it that you gain a deeper understanding of successful strategies for managing your diabetes. And additionally we will provide you with the mental tools for success.
The $1950 registration fee includes:
- Swimming, cycling, and running training and instructional sessions with elite level coaches
- General fitness sessions including yoga, pilates, and strength training
- Educational lectures and workshops focused on:
- Diabetes and Exercise Management
- Sport and Exercise Psychology
- Training Strategies

- One on one, individual consultations with medical, coaching, and training staff

DTC will be enjoying all that the east coast has to offer when we bring our camp to Jiminy Peak Mountain Resort in Hancock, Massachusetts from September 20-26, 2009. With our astounding staff of elite coaches, exercise specialists, and medical experts, you will get the knowledge you need to achieve all the athletic goals you strive for.
Diabetes Training Camp will meet your individual needs; starting with your first day at camp. Your team will talk through the goals and dreams you have, and then they will help formulate a plan to take home. Whether you want to run that first 5k, or start that yoga class you've been wanting, DTC is here to help and guide you through in managing your diabetes and fitness.

Jiminy Peak also has its very own wind turbine named "Zephyr". It towers almost 400 feet from the top of the mountain, and supplies the resort with about 33 percent of the total electricity, or enough to power over 400 typical homes.
